    How to Replace the iPod Nano 7

    Follow the procedure outlined below to successfully replace your iPod Nano 7. Keep in mind that this should be performed with utmost care as the internal components can be highly sensitive.

    Preparation

    • Ensure you have the necessary tools: A Spudger, Phillips #00 Screwdriver, a thin prying tool, and a new iPod Nano 7.
    • Back up any data on your iPod Nano 7, as this procedure will erase all data.

    Procedure

    • Turn off the iPod Nano 7.
    • Use the Spudger to gently pry up the screen starting from one corner and gradually lifting around the edges.
    • Detach the connector ribbon that attaches the screen to the main board using the thin prying tool.
    • Remove the Phillips #00 screws on the main board and carefully remove the board.
    • Replace with the new iPod Nano 7 by reversing the procedure above.
