    Guidelines for Replacing Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL

    Before you begin, make sure that your manufacturing warranty isn’t voided by self-repair.

    Materials Needed:

    • Plastic opening tools
    • Small Phillips screwdriver
    • Spudger
    • Tweezers

    Step 1: Turn Off the Device

    Ensure the phone is completely powered off to avoid damaging the motherboard during the repair process.

    Step 2: Remove the SIM Card Tray

    Use a SIM card ejection tool or a paperclip to pop out the tray from the side of the phone.

    Step 3: Detach the Back Cover

    With the plastic opening tool, carefully pry open the edges of the back cover. Work your way around the phone until the cover is entirely detached.

    Step 4: Remove Internal Screws

    Use the small Phillips screwdriver to remove all visible screws. Keep them in a safe place.

    Step 5: Lift the Midframe

    With the tweezers, carefully lift the midframe from the rest of the device.

    Step 6: Disconnect the Battery

    Use a spudger to carefully unplug the battery connector from its socket on the motherboard.

    Step 7: Replace the Battery

    Now, you can replace the old battery with a new one, making sure to connect it to the right socket on the motherboard. Repeat the procedures above in reverse to reassemble the rest of the phone.

    Make sure you do it carefully, as improper handling may damage the phone.
