    • Small Phillips screwdriver
    • Plastic opening tools
    • Spudger
    • Tweezers

    Procedure

    1. Power off the device.

    2. Remove the back cover to reveal the battery.

    3. Carefully remove the battery with the help of a plastic opening tool.

    4. Use the small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the plastic frame that is over the motherboard. Remove this plastic frame.

    5. Disconnect the ribbon cables connecting the display and digitizer to the motherboard. Use a spudger for this to avoid causing physical damage to these delicate components.

    6. Carefully lift the motherboard from the display assembly. Use tweezers to disconnect any remaining cables if necessary.

    7. Now, you can replace the component with a new one, following these same steps in reverse.
