    • Small Phillips Screwdriver
    • Safe Open Pry Tool

    Step 1: Battery Removal

    Remove the back cover of the device by sliding it downwards. Then remove the battery by lifting it out from the bottom.

    Step 2: Frame Removal

    Start by removing the 2 small screws at the top of the phone. Then use the safe pry tool to unclip the frame from the body of the phone.

    Step 3: Motherboard Disconnection

    Several ribbons need to be disconnected from the motherboard. Carefully use the safe pry tool to do this. Starting with the ribbon to the screen, gently lift the pop connector to release the ribbon.

    Step 4: Motherboard Removal

    After all connections are released, the motherboard should easily lift away from the main body of the phone.

    Step 5: Assembly of the New Blackberry 8800
