Replacing the Blackberry 9800

• Pry tools

Instructions:

1. Power off your device and remove the battery cover, battery, and SIM card.
2. At the top of the phone, remove the two screws using a precision screwdriver.
3. Use a pry tool to separate the screen from the phone. Start by the earpiece and work your way around the sides. Remember to be gentle to avoid damaging the device.
4. Once the screen is separated, unclip the ribbon cable connected to the motherboard.
5. Remove the four screws securing the motherboard and lift the motherboard out of the device.
6. Now, you can replace the part necessary. This process will differ slightly depending on the part being replaced.
7. Once the part is replaced, follow these instructions in reverse to reassemble your phone.
