NOTE: Prior to commencing with this process, ensure that the phone is powered off to prevent any electrical damage.
Use the appropriate tool (like a pry tool or small flat-head screwdriver) to gently remove the back cover. Start at the top right corner and work your way around the edges, carefully prying the cover off.
Next, locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Gently disconnect this by lifting the tab up.
With the battery disconnected, proceed to the screen. It's held in place with adhesive, so you will need to apply a little heat (using a heat gun or hairdryer at low setting) around the edges of the device. Once loosened, carefully lift the screen.
Once the old part has been removed, you can place the new component in the correct position. Ensure that everything is lined up correctly before securing it in place.
Make sure all connections are secure and then replace the back cover. Apply minor pressure along the sides and corners to ensure the cover snaps back into place.
