Preparation
Before you begin, make sure you have the necessary tools for the job. These include a SIM card eject tool, a heat gun, a suction cup, a plastic opening tool, and a screwdriver.
Instructions To Replace Battery:
- Power off the device and remove the SIM card tray.
- Use the heat gun to gently warm the adhesive holding the back cover. Apply the suction cup to lift the back cover. Use the plastic opening tool to pry around the edges.
- Unscrew and remove the protective plate covering the battery connector. Disconnect the battery connector.
- Carefully pry up the battery and remove it.
- Replace with the new battery, reconnect the battery connector and reassemble the device in reverse order.
Instructions To Replace Screen:
- Begin with the device powered off and SIM card tray removed just like in the battery replacement.
- After removing the back cover, disconnect the battery connector and the two screen connectors.
- Remove the old screen.
- Fix the new screen in place, reconnect the screen and battery connectors. Then reassemble the device in reverse order.
