The Google Pixel 5 is a top-of-the-line device known for its exceptional design and remarkable features.
Before you begin, ensure you have all the necessary tools for the replacement process. This includes a sim card ejector pin, a heat gun, a suction cup, a plastic card, and a precision screwdriver set.
To begin, power off your device then remove the SIM Tray using the sim card ejector pin.
Use your heat gun to heat the back cover. This helps to soften the adhesive that holds the cover in place. The heat gun should be used sparingly and carefully to avoid any damage.
Use the suction cup to lift the back cover slightly, creating a gap. Insert a plastic card into the gap and slowly slide it around the phone edge to free the back cover from the adhesive entirely.
Once the back cover is off, you'll see a protective plate held by a number of screws. Use the precision screwdriver set to remove them.
Detach the battery connector and any other visible connectors. In the Google Pixel 5 device, the battery connector type is the plug-in type. Be gentle to avoid damage.
Now, you can replace the damaged component with a new one. Once the part is replaced, reattach the connectors back to their rightful places and screw the protective plate back on.
Reattach the back cover and apply some heat to reset the adhesive. Be sure that all fastenings are secure and the device is sealed.
This is a simplified guide on how to replace parts in your Google Pixel 5. Always be sure to research individual component replacement guides for detailed instructions.
