Please note that this procedure requires technical skills to complete successfully. Please approach it with caution and if unsure, take it to a professional technician.

    Tools needed

    • Screwdrivers
    • Spudger tool
    • Cotton swab
    • 99% Isopropyl Alcohol
    • Heat gun

Evaluate which part you want to replace and acquire the corresponding replacement part.

    1. Opening the Smartphone

Use the heat gun to warm the edges of the phone and loosen the adhesive. Insert the spudger tool and carefully pry the back cover off.

    2. Removing the Battery

Disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard. Use the spudger to gently remove the battery from the adhesive holding it. Be careful not to pierce the battery when doing this.

    3. Replacing the component

Identify the defective part (camera, screen, speaker etc.) and remove the screws holding it. Use the spudger tool to carefully pry the part off. Replace it with the new part and secure it with the screws. Carefully reconnect any cable connectors on the part.

    4. Reassembling the Phone

Reconnect the battery back to the motherboard, ensure it's secure and reapply the adhesive. Reattach the back cover of the phone.

Turn the device on to test if the replaced part now works correctly.

    General Tips

    • Work on a clean, flat surface to avoid losing any small components of the phone.
    • Keep track of all the screws and where they came from. Some screws are of different lengths and should only be replaced into their original position.
    • Don’t force anything. If you encounter resistance, stop immediately and reassess.

Disclaimer: Be aware that you may void the warranty of your phone if you attempt self-repairs.
