You’ll need a Phillips #000 screwdriver, a Pentagonal P2 screwdriver, a plastic opening tool, a suction cup, and a spudger.
Unscrew the two pentagalobe screws at the bottom of the iPhone. Put the suction cup on the back of the iPhone, then pull the rear panel away from the back of the iPhone.
Use your Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screw securing the battery connector. Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the battery connector up from the socket on the logic board.
Unscrew the four corner screws and the six side screws. Be sure to keep track of where each screw came from. Lift the front panel away from the body of the phone using a suction cup.
Depending on the part you are replacing, the steps will vary. Always remember to handle parts carefully.
Reconnect the display assembly to the logic board, and then reset the battery connector. Replace the rear cover and insert the two Pentagalobe screws back into place. Your iPhone 4S should now be fully assembled.
