Note: Please ensure you have all the necessary tools before you begin the replacement process. Proceed at your own risk.
Using a thin plastic opening tool, gently pry open the case. Start from the bottom, carefully unlatching each clip.
Disconnect the battery connector from the logic board. Lift the battery out without straining the wires.
Remove the screws securing the logic board. Carefully lift it out, ensuring you do not damage any attached cables.
Place the new battery into the device. Connect it to the logic board properly.
Replace the logic board and fasten it. Align the battery and fix it. Place the back cover in its original position and apply gentle pressure until it clicks back into place.
After carrying out these steps, your iPod Nano 3 should now be functioning with a new battery.
