Recovering an iPod Nano 5
Things You Will Need
- A new iPod Nano 5th generation battery
- A case opener tool
Instructions
Please ensure to turn off your iPod before starting the process. Follow these steps to replace your iPod Nano 5 battery:
Step 1: Opening the iPod
- Insert the case opener tool into the side of the iPod.
- Gently twist the tool to unclip the clips holding the case together.
Step 2: Removing the Battery
- Once the iPod is open, you'll find the battery attached to the back of the display.
- Gently remove the battery from its adhesive.
- Unsolder the battery connections to completely disconnect the battery from the iPod.
Step 3: Replacing the Battery
- Solder the connections of the new battery to the same points on the iPod's motherboard.
- Reconnect all the removed connections.
Step 4: Reassembling the iPod
- Once the new battery is fitted in place, put the back cover on and gently press until the clips snap into place.
