    Instructions for Replacement

    Follow the step-by-step instructions mentioned below:

    • Turn off the iPod Touch completely
    • Loosen the two screws at the bottom of the device using the small Phillips screwdriver
    • With the plastic spudgers, slowly pry open the screen from the body, starting from bottom and working your way around, until the screen is lifted
    • Be careful not to pull the screen away too far, as it is attached to the motherboard with ribbon cables
    • Detach these ribbon cables carefully using the tweezers. This will allow the screen to be completely removed
    • The battery is located at the back of the device. It has a cable which connects it to the motherboard, which should be carefully detached
    • Then, carefully remove the old battery and replace it with the new one. Make sure to place the new battery in the same position as the old one
    • Reconnect battery connector to the motherboard
    • Reattach the screen with the motherboard by reconnecting the ribbon cables
    • Put the screen back into place and press it down. Ensure it is secure before tightening the two screws at the bottom
