Preparation

Steps to replace the parts

Disassembly

• Using a heat gun or hairdryer, soften the adhesive holding the back cover plate in place. Carefully remove the back cover using a plastic opening tool.
• Unscrew all visible screws. Use the tweezers to remove the battery connector.
• Use the plastic opening tool to pry out the battery.
• Locate the screw holding the motherboard and unscrew it. Be careful not to damage any connections to the motherboard.
• Disconnect all the ribbon connectors attached to the motherboard.

Replacing the part

Depending on the replacement part, the steps may differ:

• Display: Connect the new display to the motherboard and reassemble the phone in reverse order.
• Battery: Just put the new battery in place and reconnect the battery connector.
• Camera: Connect the new camera module to the motherboard and reassemble the phone.
