Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Opening the Phone
- Power off the phone completely.
- Use the SIM card ejection tool to remove the SIM card tray.
- Utilize a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive.
- Apply the suction handle on the back cover and carefully lift to create a small gap.
- Insert a plastic separation tool into the gap and work your way around the edges to completely remove the back cover. Be patient to avoid damaging the phone.
2. Disconnecting the Battery
- Locate the battery connector and use the small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the metal bracket over the connector.
- Carefully lift the metal bracket using the tweezers.
- Disconnect the battery connector by gently prying it up with a plastic separation tool.
3. Replacing the Screen
- Remove the screws securing the display assembly to the frame.
- Use a plastic separation tool to gently lift the display from the frame. Apply consistent pressure but avoid using excessive force.
- If necessary, use the heat gun or hairdryer to heat the edges of the screen to weaken the adhesive.
- Disconnect the display cable from the mainboard connector.
- Connect the new display cable to the mainboard connector and place it properly on the frame.
- Secure the new display with the screws you previously removed.
4. Reassembling the Phone
- Reconnect the battery connector and secure it with the metal bracket and screws.
- Carefully place the back cover on the phone, ensuring it aligns perfectly with the frame.
- Gently press around the edges of the back cover to ensure it adheres properly.
- Reinsert the SIM card tray.
- Power on the phone to confirm that the new parts are functioning correctly.
