1. Preparation
- Power off the phone completely.
- Gather essential tools: a small Phillips screwdriver, plastic opening tools, tweezers, and a suction cup if needed.
- Make sure you have the appropriate replacements parts such as the screen, battery, or other necessary components.
2. Removing the Back Cover
- Using a plastic opening tool, gently work your way around the edges of the phone to unclip the back cover. Be careful not to damage the clips.
- Once unclipped, gently lift the back cover and set it aside.
3. Disconnecting the Battery
- Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use a plastic tool to gently pry it off the socket.
- Make sure to handle the connector carefully to avoid damaging the socket on the motherboard.
- If replacing the battery: Remove any adhesives holding the battery in place, then carefully lift the battery out of the housing. Place the new battery and reconnect the battery connector.
4. Replacing the Screen
- Remove the screws securing the internal frame or shield above the screen connectors.
- Gently disconnect the screen flex cable using a plastic tool.
- Use a suction cup to gently lift the screen while inserting a plastic opening tool around the edges to release the adhesive.
- Install the new screen by aligning it properly and connecting the flex cable back to the motherboard.
- Reattach the internal frame or shield and secure it with screws.
5. Reassembly
- Double-check all connections ensuring that every flex cable and connector is properly seated.
- Place the back cover back onto the phone and press down gently but firmly to clip it back into place.
- Power on the phone to verify that the new parts are functioning correctly.
