Tools Needed

• Small Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Plastic Pry Tool
• Tweezers

Step 1: Power Off and Remove SIM Tray

Power off your Sony Xperia 5 and remove the SIM Tray.

Step 2: Remove the Back Cover

Use the plastic pry tool to gently lift the back cover. Start from the bottom and work your way up the sides.

Step 3: Remove the Battery Connector

Unscrew the 5 screws holding the cover in place then remove the battery connector using the plastic pry tool.

Step 4: Remove the Battery

Use the pry tool to gently lift the battery.

Step 5: Disconnect the Screen Assembly

With the battery removed, you can now disconnect the screen assembly. Be careful not to damage the connectors.

Step 6: Install the New Replacement Parts

Install the new parts in the order you removed them, starting with the screen assembly and ending with the back cover.
