Instructions on how to replace Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer components

    Disclaimer

Please note that if you decide to follow these instructions, you are doing so at your own risk. Always remember to power off your device before starting.

    Tools Required

    • Screwdriver set
    • Spudger
    • Tweezers
    • Heat gun or blow dryer

    Instructions

    • Switch off your smartphone and remove the SIM card tray.

    • Use a heat gun or blow dryer to heat up the edges of the back cover. This will loosen the adhesive. Be careful not to overheat and damage any internal parts.

    • Once the adhesive is sufficiently loosened, gently insert your spudger into the gap and pry the back cover open. Start with the bottom edge then work your way around the sides.

    • Remove any screws holding down the internal components with the appropriate screwdriver.

    • Use the spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.

    • Now you have access to the internal components. Depending on the part you're looking to replace, you may need to disconnect more connectors or remove more screws. Proceed with due care.

    • Once you've removed the damaged part, replace it with the new one. Ensure all connectors are secured and screws are tightened appropriately.

    • Reassemble your phone in the reverse order of disassembly. Reconnect the battery, replace the screws, and firmly press the back cover into place. If the adhesive has weakened, you may use some B7000 glue to secure the back cover.

    • Finally, power on your device to check if the replaced part is functioning correctly.
