• Step 1: Power off the device. Remove the SIM card tray.
• Step 2: Remove the two bottom screws next to the phone's USB Type-C port using a Precision Pentalobe Screwdriver P2 (0.8 x 25mm).
• Step 3: Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry up and remove the back cover starting from the bottom.
• Step 4: Disconnect the battery connector and then the two antenna cables. Remove two screws that secure the loudspeaker module and take out the module.
• Step 5: Unscrew the protective metal plate to reveal the display and digitizer connectors underneath.
• Step 6: Remove the protective metal plate and disconnect the display connector and touch screen connector. Also, disconnect the front facing camera connector and the connector for the physical button with fingerprint scanner.
• Step 7: Now you can remove the motherboard. Carefully lift the motherboard from the side but remember to check if other connectors are connected to the motherboard.
• Step 8: Once the motherboard is removed, you can proceed to remove the battery. Use a plastic opening tool to gently lift the battery out.
• Step 9: Follow these steps in reverse order to install a new battery and reassemble the phone.
