    Required Tools

    • iPad Opening Tool for iPads
    • Phillips #00 Screwdriver
    • Spudger tool
    • Tweezers

    Step by Step Guide

    Step 1: Turn off the device then start at the edge of your iPad, insert the plastic opening tool between the front glass and the plastic frame.

    Step 2: Carefully lift the glass by gently prising along the sides, note the digitizer cable is attached on the bottom right corner, don't pull too hard.

    Step 3: Unscrew four screws holding the LCD using a Phillips #00 Screwdriver and lift the LCD gently.

    Step 4: Unplug connections using the Spudger tool.

    Step 5: Using Tweezers, carefully detach the desired part that needs replacing. Once removed, insert the new part back into place.

    Step 6: Reconnect cables and screws removed from step 3 and step 4.

    Step 7: Carefully reattach the front glass with the plastic frame ensuring you don't pinch the digitizer cable.

    Step 8: Turn your iPad back on to verify that everything is functioning correctly.
