Before starting the repair process, ensure your device is completely turned off.
This will soften the adhesive for easier removal. Be careful not to overheat the device as this could cause damage to internal components or the LCD screen.
Start in one corner and move around the perimeter, softly prying up as you go. You want to avoid getting the tool too deep or you may damage the internal components.
Once the screen is up, you will see several ribbon cables that you need to carefully disconnect. This will separate the screen from the rest of the device.
Depending on what needs replacing (battery, camera, etc.), this is when you would do it. Make sure to keep track of all screws and where they go for your reassembly.
Following the manufacturer's instructions, reassemble your device. Make sure to clean any residues before closing the device up.
Finally, turn on your device and make sure everything is working properly. The process is complete.
