Instructions for Replacing IPad Air 3rd Generation 2019 A2152 Wifi A2123 A2153 Wifi, GSM Parts

    Required Tools

You will need the following tools for the replacement:

    • Phillips #00 Screwdriver
    • Spudger
    • iFixit Opening Picks set of 6
    • Heat Gun

    Step 1: Opening the iPad

First, switch off the iPad. After ensuring the iPad is off, use a heat gun to carefully warm the edges of the iPad's front glass panel. Once heated, use the iFixit opening picks to gently pry the glass panel away from the iPad's case.

    Step 2: Removing the Display

Remove the four Phillips screws securing the display to the iPad's case. Then, gently lift the display, being careful not to sever the several ribbon cables connected to the display. Use a spudger to disconnect these ribbon cables, freeing the display.

Step 3: Replacing the Necessary Parts

With the display removed, you'll now have access to the internals of the iPad. You can now replace the necessary GSM parts. Ensure you have proper guides for each part as the placement and removal can slightly differ.

    Step 4: Reassembling the Device

After replacing the necessary parts, reconnect the display and secure it with the four Phillips screws. Apply some adhesive to the edges of the front glass panel and carefully align the panel with the rest of the iPad. Make sure the panel is firmly fixed in place.

Finally, switch on your iPad Air to verify that the replaced parts are functioning correctly.

Note: Always remember to disconnect the battery connector before starting any repair work to avoid any possible electrical damage.
