Tools Needed

You will need the following tools: a heat gun, a plastic opening tool and tweezers.

Battery Replacement

• Step 1: Disconnect the tablet from the power source.

• Step 2: Heat the edges of the tablet using the heat gun to loosen the adhesive holding the back cover.

• Step 3: Use the plastic opening tool to pry open the back cover. Be careful not to damage the internals.

• Step 4: Locate and disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.

• Step 5: Remove the battery using the plastic opening tool and tweezers.

• Step 6: Replace the old battery with a new one and reassemble the tablet by doing steps 1 to 4 in reverse order.

Screen Replacement

• Step 1: Disconnect the tablet from the power source and remove the back cover following Step 1 to Step 3 of battery replacement.

• Step 2: Locate and disconnect the screen connector from the motherboard.

• Step 3: Heat the front of the tablet gently to loosen the adhesive holding the screen.

• Step 4: Use the plastic opening tool to gently pry out the screen.

• Step 5: Remove the old screen and replace it with a new one.

• Step 6: Reassemble the tablet by doing steps 1 to 4 in reverse order.
