    Step 1: Gather the required tools

    • Phillips #00 Screwdriver
    • Plastic Opening Tools
    • Nintendo 3DS XL battery

    Step 2: Removing the Battery

    Power off the Nintendo 3DS XL. Flip the device over so that the back cover faces upward. Remove the two 4.2 mm screws securing the battery cover to the lower case. Lift the battery cover off the lower case. Use a plastic opening tool to pry the battery up and out of the lower case.

    Step 3: Installing the new Battery

    Insert the new battery into the battery compartment. Ensure it is placed correctly with its metal contacts matching those in the compartment. Reattach the back cover and reinsert the 4.2mm screws.

    Step 4: Power on the device
