Steps to Replace the Playstation 2
Follow these steps in order to replace your Playstation 2:
- Locate the six screw covers on the bottom of the PlayStation 2.
- Remove screw covers and screws using a Phillips #1 Screwdriver.
- With all six screws removed, flip the PlayStation 2 to an upright position.
- Begin by grabbing the top right corner and apply upward pressure while also pulling towards you. The top half of the casing will begin to separate. Repeat this for the other side.
- Once the top half of the casing is removed, locate the power supply dies. Disconnect the power supply from the main board by pulling on the connector.
- Locate and remove the screws securing the power supply. Lift the power supply up from the inner casing. Be careful as it still connected to the mainboard.
