    Instructions to Replace Playstation 4

    Replacing a Playstation 4 requires careful attention to the steps. Please follow these instructions:

    Preparation

    • Unplug all cables from your PS4.
    • Gather a T8 or T9 Torx security screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver.

    Cover Removal

    • Place the PS4 face down.
    • Remove the warranty stickers and the black screw below them using your Torx security screwdriver.
    • Slide off the PS4’s hard drive cover.

    Hard Drive Replacement

    • Unscrew the large screw holding the hard drive in place using your Phillips screwdriver.
    • Gently pull the hard drive out.
    • Remove the four screws on the sides of the hard drive with your Phillips screwdriver. Be sure to keep the rubber pieces in place.
    • Take your new hard drive, attach the 4 screws from the old hard drive while keeping the rubber pieces in place.
    • Slide the new hard drive into the PS4, then secure it with the large screw.

    Reassembly

    • Slide the hard drive cover back on.
    • Replace the black screw using your Torx security screwdriver.
    • Reconnect all cables.
