    Replacing Your PSP

    Follow the instructions below to carefully replace your PSP. It is recommended you take it to a specialist if you're unsure about any step.

    Materials Needed

    • Sony PSP replacement screen
    • Small Phillips screwdriver
    • Open shell tool or thin piece of plastic

    Instructions

    • Turn off your PSP and remove any game disc and memory stick.
    • Remove the battery from the rear of the console.
    • Remove the screws on the front panel of the PSP.
    • Once the screws are removed, gently remove the faceplate.
    • Use the small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws in order to take out the broken screen.
    • Slowly remove the screen being careful not to tug or pull on the ribbon attaching it to the board.
    • Replace with the new screen and reverse the steps above to secure it to the board and faceplate.
    • Put the battery back in and turn on your PSP to test the new screen.
