PSP 1000 and E1004 Repuestos - Replacement Instructions

    What you need

Before you start the replacement process, make sure you have the right tools and replacement parts or 'Repuestos'. Recommended tools for this task include a precision screwdriver set and a pair of tweezers.

    Replacement Steps

    • Turn off your PSP and remove any disks and memory cards.
    • Remove the battery from the back of the PSP. There’s a small latch you can slide to pop it out easily.
    • Using your precision screwdriver, remove the small screws located at the top, bottom, and sides of the PSP.
    • Carefully lift off the front cover. Be gentle to avoid damaging any internal components.
    • With the cover off, you’ll see the internal components. Locate the part you need to replace.
    • Each component is held down by screws or clips. Remove these to free the component. It’s helpful to use tweezers here.
    • Fit the new replacement part or 'Repuesto' where the old part was. Replace the screws or clips to secure it.
    • Replace the front cover and all the screws you removed earlier.
    • Reinsert the battery, any disks, and memory cards you removed at the start. Your PSP should be good to go!

Please note that this is a general PSP 'Repuestos' replacement guide. Different parts may have different replacement procedures, so it's always best to look up additional information if needed.
