Instructions on how to replace PSP 2000

Please follow these detailed steps carefully to replace your PSP 2000 model.

Tools Needed

• Phillips #00 Screwdriver
• Plastic Opening Tools

Step 1: Battery

Turn the PSP over so the back is facing you. On the left edge of the PSP, slide the latch down and the battery cover will pop open. Remove the battery.

Step 2: Unscrewing

Remove the five screws on the back of the PSP. Then, gently take off the front faceplate.

Step 3: Replacing the LCD

Lift the LCD screen out of its metal frame. Be careful not to damage the flexible ribbon connected to the bottom. Disconnect the ribbon by pulling it out of its socket.

Step 4: Reassembly

Now, you can replace the LCD with a new one. Attach the ribbon of the new LCD into the socket. Place the LCD screen into the metal frame, attach the front faceplate followed by the screws. Finally, place the battery back and close the cover.

All done! Your PSP 2000 should now be successfully replaced.
