    • Plastic Opening Tools
    • Heat Gun or Hair Dryer

    Procedure

    Step 1: Power Off the Device

    Ensure that your Alcatel A3 XL smartphone is fully powered off before beginning.

    Step 2: Remove the Back Cover and Battery

    With the use of a plastic opening tool, firmly pry off the back cover of the device. Then, remove the battery.

    Step 3: Remove the Screws

    Using a Phillips Screwdriver, unscrew the 18 screws that are attaching the screen to the phone body.

    Step 4: Remove the Screen

    Use a Heat Gun or Hair Dryer to gently warm the edges of the display. This will loosen the adhesive making the screen easier to remove. Using plastic opening tools, carefully pry the display assembly away from the phone body.

    Step 5: Place the New Screen

    Once the old screen is completely detached, clean any remaining adhesive from the phone body. Apply new adhesive and align the new screen. Press it into place ensuring it is secure.

    Step 6: Reassemble the Phone

    Replace the screws and put the battery and the back cover back in place. Once fully reassembled, power on the device to confirm the replacement was successful.
