Replacing the Screen
Follow the steps below to replace the screen:
- Turn off the phone and remove the back cover and battery.
- Use the Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the seventeen screws securing the midframe.
- Working around the edges of the phone, pry up the midframe with the plastic opening tool.
- Disconnect the LCD connector and digitizer connector using the spudger, and remove the old screen assembly.
- Attach the new screen assembly, connect the LCD and digitizer connectors, and reassemble the device.
Replacing the Battery
To replace the battery, use the following procedure:
- With the device turned off, remove the back cover.
- Gently pry out the old battery with the spudger.
- Place the new battery inside the phone, ensuring it nests appropriately in its slot.
- Reinstall the back cover.
