Replacing the iPhone 4S Battery

• Remove the two 3.6 mm Pentalobe screws next to the dock connector: These are located at the bottom of your device, either side of the charging port.
• Push the rear panel toward the top edge of the iPhone: This should cause a small gap to appear between the panel and the silver colored band. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap, and slide it around the corner to release the clips holding the panel in place.
• Remove the rear panel from the iPhone: Keep this somewhere safe, ready for reassembly.
• Disconnect and remove the battery: Follow the necessary steps to disconnect the battery connector from the logic board, bend the connector back and then pry the battery out of the device.
• Insert the new battery: Simply reverse the process – attach the connector and stick the new battery to the case, before finally reattaching the rear panel.
