Instructions for Replacing iPhone 6S Plus

The following are the steps to replace iPhone 6S Plus:

Step 1: Remove the Screws

Begin by removing the two Pentalobe screws next to the lightening connector.

Step 2: Lift the Display

Use a suction cup to lift the display, be careful not to open the phone more than 90 degrees as it is still connected to the top of the phone by the display, digitizer, and front camera cables which can tear easily.

Step 3: Remove Battery Connector

Remove the two Phillips screws located on the battery connector and set them aside. Use a plastic spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector.

Step 4: Disconnect the Display

Remove five screws holding the front panel assembly and carefully disconnect the front camera, sensor cable and LCD connectors.

Step 5: Remove the Home Button

Remove the four screws holding the Home Button bracket. Carefully disconnect the Home Button connector and remove the bracket and Home Button.

Step 6: Assemble the New Display

Transfer the earpiece speaker, front camera assembly, and Home Button to your new display. Reconnect the front camera, sensor cable and LCD panel connectors, and refit the five screws.

Step 7: Reassemble the Phone

Replace the battery connector and its two screws. Align the top of the display into place and carefully fix the rest of the display into the case. Replace the two Pentalobe screws next to the lightening connector. Your iPhone 6S Plus is now replaced.
