Instructions on How to Replace iPod Nano 6

    Materials Needed

    • Replacement part for iPod Nano 6
    • Small Phillips screwdriver
    • Plastic opening tools
    • Tweezers

    Instructions

    • Before starting the replacement process, ensure that the iPod Nano is turned off.
    • Begin by prying open the clasp locking the device using a plastic opening tool. A small gap will start appearing around the edge of the device.
    • Slowly and gently work the plastic opening tool around the entire Nano to remove the front panel. Remember, force is not needed, and excessive force may break the panel.
    • Once open, use the small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws holding the inner components in place.
    • Carefully lift the inner components using tweezers. Be cautious of the ribbon cables connected to the logic board.
    • To detach the ribbon cables, very carefully lift up on the tiny black flap on the logic board connectors using the plastic tool. Once the black flap is upright, you can slide the cable out.
    • After the original part is removed, you can proceed with the installation of the new part. Do this by reconnecting any ribbon cables and reassembling the device in reverse order.
    • Once everything is screwed back into place, press the front panel back onto the main housing until the clasp clicks into place.
