    Steps

    Before you begin: ensure your phone is turned off and disconnected from any power source.

    STEP 1: Use the opener tool to gently pry open the back cover from the edge of the phone.

    STEP 2: Remove the battery from the phone.

    STEP 3: Unscrew and remove the protective metal sheet covering the motherboard using the Phillips screwdriver.

    STEP 4: Use the spudger to disconnect the various ribbon cables attached to the motherboard.

    STEP 5: Carefully lift the motherboard away from the phone body.

    STEP 6: If you are replacing the screen, remove the additional screws securing it and carefully lift it away from the phone body. Install the new screen in its place and reassemble the phone in the reverse order.

    STEP 7: Use the same process detailed above to replace other components such as the inner cables or microprocessor.
