1. Replacing the Display
Follow these steps to replace the display:
- Power off the device and remove the SIM card tray.
- Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry open the back cover.
- Unscrew the screws securing the inner frame using a Phillips screwdriver.
- Disconnect the battery connector to avoid any short circuits.
- Locate and disconnect the display connector from the motherboard.
- Gently heat the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive using a heat gun.
- Use a suction cup to lift the display slightly and insert a plastic card to cut through the adhesive.
- Remove the old display and clean the frame of any residual adhesive.
- Apply new adhesive strips to the frame and align the new display carefully.
- Reconnect the display connector, reassemble the phone, and power it on to test the new display.
2. Replacing the Battery
Follow these steps to replace the battery:
- Power off the device and remove the SIM card tray.
- Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry open the back cover.
- Unscrew the screws holding the inner frame using a Phillips screwdriver and remove it.
- Disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
- Locate the adhesive pull tabs at the bottom of the battery and gently pull them to loosen the adhesive.
- If the adhesive is stubborn, use a few drops of isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the battery to dissolve it.
- Carefully lift and remove the old battery.
- Align the new battery in place and press it gently to secure it with any remaining adhesive.
- Reconnect the battery connector, reassemble the phone, and power it on to test the new battery.
3. Replacing the Rear Camera
Follow these steps to replace the rear camera:
- Power off the device and remove the SIM card tray.
- Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry open the back cover.
- Unscrew the screws holding the inner frame using a Phillips screwdriver and remove it.
- Disconnect the battery connector to avoid any short circuit.
- Locate the rear camera connector on the motherboard and carefully disconnect it.
- Gently lift the old rear camera module out of its slot.
- Align the new rear camera module and press it gently into its slot.
- Reconnect the camera connector, reassemble the phone, and power it on to test the new camera.
