• Phillips #00 Screwdriver
• Plastic Opening Tools
• ESD Safe Tweezers

Replacement Process

Before replacing any parts of the Lenovo A889, ensure the device is powered off.

Step 1: Removal of Back Cover

• Remove the back cover by inserting a plastic opening tool into the seam between the back cover and the front assembly. Gently slide and pry all around the edges to unlock the clips holding the two sections together.

Step 2: Removal of Battery

• Lift and remove the battery out of its housing.

Step 3: Removal of Screws

• With the Phillips Screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the inner cover. Store them in a safe place.

Step 4: Removal of Inner Cover

• Detach the cover using a plastic opening tool.

Step 5: Replacement of Part

• Replace the faulty part. Reinstallation is the reverse of removal.

Note: Make sure all connections and screws are secure before putting back the battery and closing the back cover of the phone.
