First, ensure the phone is powered off. Then, remove the Moto G3 back cover using a plastic opening/pry tool to unlock the clips around the edge of the device. Remove the 20 T3 Torx screws holding the midframe in place and carefully lift the midframe away from the phone, revealing the battery.
Using the plastic pry tool, disconnect the battery connector from its socket on the motherboard. Then, lift out the battery and replace it with the new one. Ensure the battery is correctly placed and the connector is attached to the motherboard.
Replace the midframe and ensure all 20 screws are tightened. Finally, clip the back cover back into place, ensuring all edges are secure. Power on the phone to verify the replacement was successful.
Note: Always ensure you are working in a clean, dry and static-free environment when replacing phone parts to avoid damaging sensitive components.
