The Conector de Carga, or Charge Connector, is a crucial component in smartphones, allowing the device to connect with a power source for charging. It's typically located at the bottom of the handset and interacts directly with your charging cable.
You will need the following tools for this procedure:
For safety, always start by powering off your smartphone before any repair.
You may need a prying tool for this step, depending in your phone's design. Carefully insert the tool into the gap between the phone's frame and the back cover, working it around the phone to detach the cover.
Using your small Phillips screwdriver, remove all screws fastening the mid-frame. With the screws removed, you can detach the mid frame using your prying tool.
Use your prying tool to disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard. This ensures the phone has no power during the repair.
Locate the charging port and disconnect it from the motherboard using your pry tool. You can then remove the old Conector de Carga using the tweezers.
Place the new charging port in the space where the old one was removed. Reconnect the new Conector de Carga to the motherboard.
Reconnect the battery to the motherboard. Then, replace the mid-frame and secure it with the screws. Finally, reattach the back cover.
Please note that going through with this procedure might void the warranty of your phone. Always consult your phone's manufacturer's instructions and ensure you're comfortable with the procedure before beginning.
