    General Instructions

    Step 1: Power Off the Device

    Step 2: Remove the Back Cover

    • Use a suction cup to gently lift the back cover.
    • Slide a plastic pry tool around the edges to detach the adhesive securing the back cover.
    • Carefully remove the back cover and set it aside.

    Step 3: Disconnect the Battery

    • Locate the battery connector and disconnect it using a spudger.
    • This step is crucial to prevent any short-circuiting during the repair process.

    Step 4: Removing Defective Parts (e.g., Screen, Battery)

    • If replacing the screen:
      • Remove the screws securing the screen using the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
      • Lift the screen gently using plastic pry tools from the edges.
      • Disconnect the display connector and remove the screen.
    • If replacing the battery:
      • Use a spudger to gently pry the battery out of its compartment.
      • Be cautious not to bend or puncture the battery.

    Step 5: Install the New Parts

    • If installing a new screen:
      • Connect the new screen to the display connector.
      • Secure the screen with screws.
    • If installing a new battery:
      • Place the new battery into the compartment.
      • Reconnect the battery connector carefully.
      • Ensure the new battery is properly seated.

    Step 6: Reassemble the Device

    Position the back cover back onto the device and press gently around the edges to secure the adhesive. Double-check all connections before completing this step.

    Step 7: Power On the Device

    Power on the device to ensure the new parts are functioning correctly. If everything is operating as expected, your repair is complete.
