Step 1:

Power off the device and remove any SIM and memory cards.

Step 2:

Use a heat gun or hair dryer around the edge of the screen to weaken the adhesive. Ensure that you move the heat source constantly to avoid overheating one area.

Step 3:

Insert a plastic opening tool or prying tool in the gap between the frame and the screen. Slide the tool along the edges to loosen the adhesive further. Be patient and avoid using excessive force that may crack the screen.

Step 4:

Once loosened, carefully lift the screen starting from the top. Remember, the screen is still attached to the motherboard via the screen cable. Do not try to remove it entirely.

Step 5:

Using a screwdriver from your toolkit, remove screws attaching the cable to the motherboard. Detach the screen cable carefully.

Step 6:

Attach the new screen by connecting its cable to the motherboard. Secure it with screws, and gently fold the screen back into the frame.

Step 7:
