Tools needed

• Sim card ejector tool
• Heat gun or hairdryer
• Plastic opening tools
• Phillips head screwdriver

Step-by-step Instruction

Note: Make sure to turn off the phone and remove the SIM card before proceeding.

1. Heat the edges of the phone to loosen the adhesive of the back cover. Use a heat gun or hairdryer, but do not heat one spot for too long to avoid damaging the phone.
2. Insert a plastic opening tool between the back cover and the frame of the phone. Slide the tool around the phone to pry up the back cover. Be careful not to insert the tool too deep to avoid damaging internal parts.
3. Once the back cover is removed, locate the battery connector on the motherboard and disconnect it.
4. After the battery has been disconnected, remove the screws holding the protective metal plate over the motherboard using a Phillips head screwdriver.
5. Remove the metal plate, exposing the motherboard. Locate and disconnect the display and digitizer connectors.
6. Now You can remove the motherboard. Be careful to lift it straight up to avoid snagging or damaging any connectors.
7. Finally, You can replace the old display with a new one. Simply perform all the steps in reverse to reassemble your phone.
