Instructions to Replace iPad Mini 2° Generacion 2013 A1489 Wifi A1490 A1491 Wifi, GSM Repuestos

Replacing parts on the iPad Mini 2 requires caution due to its compact and intricate design. Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure an accurate procedure.

    Tools Required

    • Plastic opening tools
    • Small suction cup
    • Spudger
    • Screwdrivers

    Steps for Replacement

    • Before beginning, discharge the iPad battery below 25%. This reduces the risk of a dangerous thermal event if the battery is punctured.
    • Start by applying a heated iOpener to the left edge of the iPad to loosen the adhesive securing the front panel to the rest of the device.
    • Use the plastic opening tool to pry the glass away from its casing.
    • Attach a suction cup to the top of the screen and press down to create a seal. Pulling up on the suction cup helps open up a slight gap, which can be used to insert another plastic opening tool.
    • Move the plastic opening tool along the corners, separating the adhesive. Repeat for all sides of the device.
    • Once the panel is loose, carefully lift it but do NOT separate it entirely. There are ribbon cables connecting the display that can be damaged.
    • Use a spudger to disconnect the connectors securing the front panel to the motherboard. Only then you can fully remove the front panel.
    • Next, proceed with the battery displacement same as with the front panel but with extra carefulness. Once you disconnected it you can replace the battery.
    • After replacing the necessary parts, reassemble the iPad by following the steps in reverse order.Take your time and apply firm, constant force to re-adhere the front panel to the rest of the device.

Note: Some steps might vary based on the part you are replacing.
