Tools You Need

• Screwdriver set
• Spudger or Plastic opening tools
• Hot air gun
• New 7" LCD screen

Procedure

Follow the steps below to replace the 7" generic LCD tablet screen:

1. Ensure the tablet is powered off and unplugged from any power sources.
2. Use a hot air gun to heat the edges of the screen, this aids in loosening the adhesive.
3. With the use of a plastic opening tool or spudger, gently pry open the screen starting from the corners.
4. Carefully lift the screen but do not detach completely, there are ribbon cables connected to it.
5. Locate the ribbon cable connectors and disconnect them.
6. Now remove the damaged screen completely.
7. Take the new 7" LCD screen and connect the ribbon cables back into their corresponding connectors in the tablet.
8. Position the new screen onto the tablet and gently press down along the edges to make sure the adhesive sticks properly.
9. Turn on your tablet to test the new LCD screen.
