Make sure your Oppo Reno5 Z 5G is completely powered off before opening the device.
Use the SIM ejector tool to remove the SIM card tray from the side of the phone.
Use a suction cup to create a small gap between the rear cover and the phone chassis. Insert the plastic opening tool into the gap and gently work your way around the edges to release the clips holding the rear cover in place.
Locate the battery connector and use the plastic opening tool to carefully disconnect it from the motherboard. This ensures that no power is running through the device while you work on it.
If you're replacing a component other than the battery, such as the screen or the motherboard, you may need to remove additional screws and connectors. Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove any screws securing components to the frame. Use tweezers to gently disconnect additional ribbon cables as needed.
Remove the damaged component carefully. For a screen replacement, gently lift the old screen from the frame. For other components, ensure you follow the necessary steps for their specific removal.
Align the new component correctly and secure it in place. Reconnect any ribbon cables and screws that were removed earlier.
Carefully reconnect the battery to the motherboard.
Align the rear cover with the phone chassis and press firmly around the edges to secure the clips. Ensure that the cover is properly aligned and sits flush with the phone frame.
Press and hold the power button to turn on the Oppo Reno5 Z 5G. Verify that the new component is working correctly and that the phone operates as expected.
